Welcome to the Ruff Portal

The Ruff Portal is an open source Python/Django app under development for Dallas Pets Alive. The Ruff Portal has two main objectives:

1. Automate common repetitive volunteer tasks
2. Provide a common portal for volunteer management and interaction with the organization

Design Goals

The Ruff Portal is developed with several design goals in mind:

• Easy and intuitive for non-technical users with minimal user effort for daily use
• Formal design and requirements definition to ensure a quality product

The leader of the project is Katie Patterson (@kirska), the technology director for Dallas Pets Alive.
